Site’s Philosophy #
I strive to make this website as useful as possible. As minimalistic as possible, and as aesthetically pleasing as possible. This should be a mix of:
- Information technology & Cybersecurity: General information, ideas, projects, interesting reads.
- A mixture of general interests and ideas, not related to IT.
What’s “argv”? #
argv is a programming convention or variable name used to handle user arguments in command-line programs in code flow.
I started using iterations or “argv” in my past websites because I like it as a “tech thing” (Like a little pun) and also because it’s some permutation of my initials and my alias in tech. I’ve used arg[v], argv[cloud] which is kind of cool. The TLD .cloud seems appropriate because all this is hosted on someone else’s computer (cloud).
History & purpose of this website #
The original idea back in 2021 was to have a public documentation website for myself, so that I could have specific Cybersecurity and Information Technology references, manuals, how-to at hand, everywhere I went. Over time, it transformed into some sort of blog and has been overhauled 3 times, with several migrations. You’re in the most recent and sophisticated version, and it is likely to be the one I permanently use, unless this technologies block me from evolving it, which is not very likely.
I consider this website as a tool. A tool for having a “brain backup”; something to bookmark and work with/along it. A central hub of knowledge if you will. This is also a brain exhaust and from time to time I publish uncategorized information here.
From random blog posts about recent learning topics and thoughts to deep technical and Cybersecurity information, I want to have it all here, or around here linked somewhere.
I strive to make this sites as useful as possible, not just for myself but for others as well. If it proves beneficial to me, chances are it will be helpful to someone else too. So please feel free to share, interact with it, bookmark, or even propose ideas.
On writing about IT & cybersecurity #
It’s been a big challenge for me to organize notes without being overly complex, between blogs, cross-referencing stuff, notebooks and tech stack, so I’ll just relax and consider this website an eternal Work in progress.
